The Saint Agnes Foundation presented a check for $1.2 million to support two purchases for the Saint Agnes Healthcare Surgical Services Team. The purchase of the Stryker System 8 surgical power tools will be used for a variety of procedures predominantly in orthopedic surgery, podiatry, and spine cases. The Foundation also invested in the Ohmeda Datex anesthesia machines, which contain state-of-the-art technology with additional safety features to use in various procedures. The purchases support the strategic plan of Saint Agnes to expand surgical services.

With the new surgical tools, we can offer our patients the latest orthopedic techniques and carry on our commitment to providing safe, high-quality and reliable surgical care to our community,” said Juan A. Sanchez, MD, MPA, Chair of the Department of Surgery at Saint Agnes. “This state-of-the-art equipment allows us to maintain our high standards and excellent outcomes as we continue to grow our reputable orthopedic program.”

“The Saint Agnes Foundation is thrilled to provide the funds to our Surgical Services Team,” said Kirstan Cecil, Chief Marketing & Development Officer for Saint Agnes. “We’re grateful to the donors that make it possible for us to leverage our capabilities for the communities we serve.”
